Item Frame Problems

Does anyone know of a mod that disables item frames? My computer can't handle very many entities so places with lots of them totally kill my fps. I'm basically looking for a mod that would either make them disappear altogether or change the way they render to make them put less strain on my computer. Any suggestions are very appreciated!! :D
