GETTING THE FUCKIN STORY STRAIGHT

So here's the story of how I did escape BvB and got gamemode 1

I entered BvB with 3 other people who's name I don't remember.
During the event I noticed that it would be really easy to escape the event and fly outside with gm1
And so I did. I escaped the event using the old let-the-boat-float-up-in-some-water-and-enter-it-to-then-leave-it-again Trick.
Once I did that I was free and on top of the glass. After that I went away to have dinner and didnt come online till the next day
The next day I decided to go online and found out I was still in gm1
So I did as every person would do and spawned my inventory full of diamonds http://gyazo.com/ed9561ab88170ba75ea283393b35c4aa <-------------------
I showed this to everyone online and told them I had gm1. HOWEVER , no one believed me
After that I didn't really play and didnt use my gm1 powers
But a few days ago I logged back on to still find myself still in gm1
And since I couldn't go to my own place anymore (Because I was in the event world) I commited suicide by falling through the world
AND THEN I got to my own place and could actually store shit in chests in gm1 (Also fly and enchant and all the stuff)


So this is how I got gm1. What you might wanna know or confirm is that I DID abuse it to some extend.
And I do think I deserve a punishment. But no eternal ban.

And that's all. This is my story.

Any violation? No. Historically only hackers/ xrayers and spammers got permabanned. Anything else was temp ban. This falls under "anything else". If anything, it's closest to glitching, and not all glitching gets the same punishment.

Well, it says here: "SimPvP has a zero tolerance policy for use of hacks or abuse of glitches." I remember when Xestia put this into place after the predicament with Lone a while back. He got off because to be fair the stance on glitches wasn't clear.

No one who understands the rules well will not spawn items and abuse the power that they obtained unintentionally. Also you forgot to mention that you also gave some diamonds to other 2 players (pippinger and renfox) and offered everyone "Come to /world to get your diamonds", Admins were just lucky enough to have confronted you before you could ever gaving away more spawned items. Yukar have seen some of your recent chat logs and noticed how you attempted to hide the gm1, but once again, we are pretty lucky that it was pip who you chose to converse with and you were given a warning by him.(Reference), yet after having the conversation, thats when you gave another bunch of diamonds to renfox and offered everyone. Some of your quotes did not have very bad intentions but some are pretty malicious, you mentioned: "Im going to corrupt this server" or something similar.

Even if noone believed you, did you think you could get away with it? As mentioned, someone who understands the rules well will not abuse this power especially if it was obtained by accident.

I don't see this as "cheating and hacking". It falls under "use of an exploit for personal gain" the same way that nether roof travel did.

IIRC, nobody got banned (even temp) for nether roof travel.

This is much more serious, in that your actions affected other people and caused a mess for admins to clean up (all the dia stacks and enchanted gear and who knows what else).

That said, to me it smacks of immaturity and not outright maliciousness.

Hope you learned something iQuint -- just because you can, doesn't mean its a good idea. Especially if it is obviously against the whole idea of the server.

People ARE given second chances- It's not unheard of. Wolfbitten, my own teammate, used the screen tear glitch to find diamonds and was pardoned. Elocphant spammed and was pardoned. Hole Digger and Brtrogdor rigged votes and were pardoned. Lone and others abused glitches and were pardoned.

Each person listed here had the whole server getting a boner for their eternal ban, but they were treated fairly.Besides, this exact incidence already happened with Tuffy9. He got gm1 and tried to hide a bunch of shit in chests. Nothing was done about it except a warning. The only difference in this case is a longer period of time that passed before it was caught.

Give him a 3 month ban and permanent restriction from /event, that would be fair. Anything further is just making an example of him.
