No ciriticle hits on mobs?

so i do notice criticles against players but for some reson not on mobs. Any one else have that problem?

I noticed this months ago, I thought it was just meant to be that way :S

I think it's like only an extra heart or half heart that critical hits do. Btw you have to be sprinting to get one if you don't know that. (you prob do.)
