Official thread for the debate about the world boundary.

I'm only going to say this one, keep this thread ontopic. Posts not ontopic will be deleted.

I think if it gets removed it will probably kill the pvp and interaction, i think it should be extended to 7kish

I think we should aim towards finding a solution that's acceptable to everybody.

We should try to find a solution that meets everybody's needs. Surely it's possible for someone to think out of the box, and find some way to create an incentive for people to actively interact with other people, while still having the possibility of building far from spawn.

Well, if we remove it we get huge opposition, if we keep it we get huge opposition (i think)... so i got nothing... all i can think of is extending it a bit.

That's what I mean by thinking out of the box. Instead of simply thinking Keep it, Remove it, or Extend it, there's got to be some solution that satisfies everybody.

Well, events were always the main source of player interaction for me before the boundary, and I can't remember the last time we had a good game of spleef, ctf, quicksand, etc. Bring those back, then maybe do something about the boundary, as the events will increase player interaction. Yes, it's straying from vanilla, but hell, we did it once, bring them back.

Well, we'll see about capture the sign, but the spleef and such events didn't really draw people closer to spawn.

Could have a spawn warp if you're taking in almost any idea.
