The Dragon Crash Problem

The Great Dragon Crash was an event taking place in March 11th, 2019, from 12:00 pm to 7:15 pm, after someone had respawned the Ender Dragon and it presumably came in contact with the End exit portal, crashing the server.

Timeline of Events

~12:05pm - The server crashes for the first time. DakkaDok is contacted through Discord.

~12:17pm - The server momentarily goes back up. The players are relieved.

12:19pm - The server crashes again. Many people start gathering confused in the Discord server.

1:03pm - DakkaDok mentions seeing things related to the Ender Dragon in the server crash report.

1:41pm - Jokes about Struthio (aka the biggest lag machine in the server) start coming up on Discord.

3:36pm - The server comes back up.

4:48pm - The server crashes again after AntHand, who was in the End at the time of the first crash, joined. This makes it clear that the server was crashing when Anthand Loaded the Ender Dragon.

7:18pm - Our lord and savior MisterStrawman fixed the server to a collective sigh of relief. Anthand logs in again to no crash, confirming everything was back to normal.

In all, the whole thing lasted over 7 hours, during which a lot of discord hijinks happened.
