Negative Karma was a group founded on Sim PvP before the Map Reset that was focused heavily on griefing and generating "negative attention," arguably the first such group to exist on the server.
History
The members of Negative Karma first joined Sim before or around August, 2011. They consisted of a group of IRL friends as well as a few others they met playing Ultima Online. Relative to other groups on the map pre-reset, Negative Karma was well-organized, with a private forum for discussions. Trance104 was the de-facto leader of the group, although there was no official hierarchy and members largely worked together towards the same goals.
The majority of their griefs were of bases they found randomly while traveling to or from Spawn, or bases that were leaked and traveled to from their main base via the Nether. In total the group griefed over 10 bases between August and December. Their main base itself was an extensive underground hub of farms and storage and was never found or raided by any of their many enemies before the map reset, and they quickly made a new base on the current map and continued the same activities as before.
When the map limit vote was held, all of the members were strongly opposed to such a feature. After it was implemented, the group decided to quit the server, with Trance104 announcing the departure on December 19th, 2021. None of the members have returned in any real capacity since.
