SimplicityPvE, or SimPvE for short, was a separate server created by DakkaDok on the 4th of December 2019. It was hosted on the same hardware as the "main" server, but differed in most other ways.

The server was shut down in 2021, and there are currently no plans to bring it back.

Joining

SimPvE's IP was coop.simpvp.net

Anyone could login to this server. New players would spawn in Spectator Mode and would be unable to interact with the world. Only players trusted by the admins were given access to Survival Mode. However, all player were welcome to check in, chat, or look around the server and its many building projects.

There was a public dynmap that anyone could use to look at the world map: https://dynmap.coop.simpvp.net/

The server also had its own discord server, at https://discord.gg/zrdCWq9 Despite the Minecraft server being shut down, the discord server still exists.

Gameplay and Rules

SimPvE is not an anarchy server. Although it is set to Hard difficulty, the main point of the server is cooperative building.

Rule 1: Do not attack another player or destroy another player's buildings without permission.

PvP is only allowed if all participants agree to it. Removing obviously abandoned buildings is allowed, but it is always better to ask first. To make sure people know what's yours, consider marking your builds with signs etc.

Rule 2: Do not take items from chests marked by another player without permission.

By default, unmarked chests are common property that anyone may take. Chests inside or close to a player's build do not need to be separately marked, it should be assumed they belong to that player.

Rule 3: Do not build close to another player's buildings without permission.

There is no rigid definition for the minimum distance between builds. If you are unsure, ask your neighbouring builder first, or go a little farther than you think is necessary. You can use the Dynmap to check for suitable areas.

Rule 4: Do not use mods or glitches that confer a significant advantage.

This includes x-ray, flymod, killaura, duping of any kind, waterwalking, among others. If you are unsure whether a mod or glitch is allowed to be used, ask DakkaDok.

Rule 5: Do not share real life information about another player without explicit permission.

Don't doxx people. If someone tells you real life information in private, do not share said information without EXPLICIT permission from that player.
