G.S.F.W. (or GSFW) was a super-alliance between three of SimPvP's most influential teams: [[GS Trading Co.]], the [[Church of Francis]], and [[The Order of Wilbur]].  The name was an acronym derived from the primary letters of each respective clan: '''GS''' for GS Trading Co., '''F''' for the Church of Francis, and '''W''' for the Order of Wilbur.  Although alliances and peace talks between the three organizations had existed for months, the official G.S.F.W. super-alliance was coined and established on July 22nd, 2021.  The alliance promoted cooperation between these three teams through diplomacy, trade, base building, and military aid.

On January 4th, 2022, the Order of Wilbur officially withdrew from the G.S.F.W., citing the reformation of their team as a neutral, pacifistic group unconcerned with server drama as a driving force.  With the "W" in the "G.S.F.W." now disbanded, the former super-alliance between the three groups was effectively defunct.

==Early History==

Long before talks even began for a G.S.F.W.-type super-alliance, relations between the three teams were shaky and often varied depending on the moment in server history.  For many years, the [[Church of Francis]] and [[The Order of Wilbur]] were historic rivals; a rivalry that had culminated in two wars ([[The Holy Wilbur-Francis War]] and [[The Imperial War]]), several battles, and numerous griefs, as well as an overwhelming sense of distrust between the two.  When [[GS Trading Co.]] first joined SimPvP in June 2020, the Wilburian-Francillian rivalry remained much the same, and GS Trading Co. would shift between the two constantly.  Before and during the Imperial War, GS Trading Co. was heavily allied with the Order of Wilbur (even fighting alongside them against the Church of Francis); however, after the Imperial War ended, GS Trading Co. began to open up to the Francillians more, eventually allying itself with them as well.  It was also post-Imperial War when the Wilburians and Francillians finally began to warm up to each other and begin talks of peace, all while GS Trading Co. mediated between the two, solidifying good relationships with both.

==G.S.F.W. is Formed==

By summer 2021, long after the Imperial War had ended, relations between the three were growingly increasingly more amicable.  The OOW and COF, especially, had worked hard to establish peace through a variety of means, from their joint base [[Riverwood]] to their increasingly frequent diplomatic discussions and gifts.  GS Trading Co., meanwhile, had also been strengthening its ties with the two teams, and it was apparent that a more formal alliance was inevitable.  Even outside of the basic team dynamics, many members in all three teams were friendly and cordial with each other, sharing bases and such.  Thus, on June 7th, 2021, a major historic milestone would occur when, for the first time in over two years as warring enemies, the Order of Wilbur and the Church of Francis became official allies.  A peace conference was held, to which numerous Wilburians and Francillians attended, and talks of their future alliance were engaged.  At the conference, the two teams would apologize for past wrongdoings and propose ideas for future joint endeavors to strengthen their bond as allies, as well as establishing overall objectives for their new alliance.  [[Ostrich1414]] and [[Lord1]], as heads of their respective teams, would proceed to sign a formal and official peace treaty, which was then distributed to all Wilburians and Francillians alike.

Shortly after this, the OOW and COF would use their newfound friendship to bring themselves much closer with GS, and the three teams found that they were already sharing common goals and values.  On June 10th, the COF would host a large event for their new pope inauguration, and invited all members of the OOW and GS--a first for outsider attendance in a COF-hosted event.  Exactly a month later, after increasing diplomacy and strengthening their bonds, the COF and GS raided and griefed Cope Town, a base made by [[1590283112]] and [[DKC]], in what would become the first cooperative military operation for the budding new super-alliance thanks to both teams' personal troubles with the members of Cope Town.  However, it was clear that a more official, branded title was required for this alliance, and for many weeks behind the scenes, diplomatic talks were held between leaders of the three groups.  Eventually, on July 22nd, 2021, it was formed: "G.S.F.W.", the GS Trading Co., Church of Francis, and Order of Wilbur super-alliance.  Now, the teams were united under a single banner, working together to promote trade, support, diplomacy, base building, and military aid.
