Purpose

#FreedomForDragonEgg is a movement on SimPvP that refers to the procurement of the dragon egg/Next Generation advancement that has been difficult to obtain since the dragon egg is only held for a select few. As players of SimPvP, a lot of us find enjoyment in completing our advancement list. Advancement hunting, in Minecraft, has always been something people find themselves drawn to. As of July 23, 2024, and even earlier, it has been difficult for players who: aren't in good standing with those with a dragon egg, aren't trusted enough to not steal it, or just simply don't have as much time active as others, like in the case of PowerHamad.

This page is a way of centralizing the distaste for how dragon eggs and the advancement are handled for the greater player base.

Why can't you just get the advancement?

Well, simply put, getting the actual advancement requires you to hold the dragon egg. Although, on paper, this seems easy enough, you really can't just get somebody to: set their spawn point, kill them, give them the egg, then kill them again. The reason for this unfortunate truth is the greatest travel component of our lives, ender pearl stasis. If a pearl is not loaded when you have been killed, that pearl will NOT be destroyed. So, this has led to a lot of hesitation in allowing someone to get the advancement, unless they are trusted by the other person or just simple retention of the privilege.

• DKC - I think the dragon egg should be added to Ender Dragon loot table; a percentage, not <5 or 10%, or guarantee is fine.

• Death_Tr00per - I don't know much about the dragon egg replication glitch, but my idea would be to add the dragon egg to the ender dragon's loot table.
• floating_helium - I think the dragon egg should be lootable once a month or so, in special end events so as to keep it rare but obtainable.
• Aluminisin - I think there should be a way to let everyone who wants the advancement get it, that doesn't require actually having to make physical dragon eggs exist, as far as I am concerned people only care about the advancement.
• KohukeSFR - I think the dragon egg should be added to Ender Dragon loot table; a percentage, not <5 or 10%, or guarantee is fine.
• Laztec - I believe the dragon egg should be repurposed as a rare consumable item, which, when cracked open, can be crafted into various egg preparations, such as scrambled, poached, and hard-boiled. Perhaps these could then be combined with other food items to create more complex recipes like eggs-benedict, or even Mexican breakfast tortillas to enhance our cultural diversity.
