The first iteration of Dogstevia was created around February 14, 2023 on a desert. The original purpose of the base was for preparations to build an actual main base in another location, but that never happened. Some members started inviting other players to visit the base and the outside church, which gave its location away. It was griefed by The Church of Francis, after a political dispute during the grief Antzakes1 would arrive at the base to try to eliminate COF forces but eventually fled with no casualties on either side. The grief was featured in this video.

After that, the base members still lived in a basement under the town. They tried to organize a move to the earlier planned location. However, most of them lost interest in playing the server.

After a few months, some members of the Dogsteve group started coming back to the server. On December 19 2023, HappyPcfulChamp, ParaWodna and Zatherah started to look for a new place to settle at. The place they found was soon called Dogstevia and other members started moving in. The base is currently in use.
