On May 29th, 2021, Tilba stated the word "peppermint" in SimPvP chat after being convinced to do so by both ostrich1414 and surgeflash. For many on SimPvP, this was a momentous and historic occasion that only happens once in a lifetime, resulting in the participating players to scramble and document the occurence. In fact, Tilba has specifically stated that "you guys just witnessed something that happends [sic] once every 1000 years", due to the event's rarity and importance.
Historical Background
Prior to Tilba saying "peppermint", the frequently AFK player was infamous for rarely engaging with chat. Known colloquially as "Tilba the Talking Totem", Tilba rarely conversed with the SimPvP community, other than rare occasions in which he would make totem-related comments. As such, for many familiar players, it was a near-impossible task to get Tilba to say something in chat at will, and dozens of attempts often failed miserably.
Ostrich1414 and surgeflash, however, were rather ambitious regarding the touchy subject, keen on persuading Tilba to speak. After a mild back-and-forth between the three, ostrich1414 and surgeflash made their attempt: Tilba, in one way or another, was going to say "peppermint".

- 4:41 P.M. - Surgeflash discusses his lack of having seen Tilba type in chat, prompting Tilba to reply.
- 4:42 P.M. - Ostrich1414 attempts to engage with Tilba, requesting him to say "peppermint" in chat.
- 4:43 P.M. - Tilba declines ostrich1414's request; despite this, he is met with eager reassurance by both ostrich1414 and surgeflash.
- 4:44 P.M. - After some hesitation, Tilba finally succumbs to their requests and clearly states "peppermint" in chat, much to the joy of ostrich1414 and surgeflash.
- 4:45 P.M. - Tilba reiterates the true importance and rarity of the occurrence, ensuring that the SimPvP community know such an event will never occur again. The "peppermint" incident is subsequently documented and archived.
