The Caudices

Shortly after joining the server, AntHand and egnaroky realized that, while they were IRL friends, publicly declaring a team between them would in theory increase political clout. They decided on the latin name "Caudices", the plural of Caudex for "Blockhead" or "idiot". With hindsight, they both now realize that as two noobs with less than 10 hours of playtime they never could have achieved any clout with just a team. Regardless, the team created an official banner, which was gathered into Ostrich1414's collection. The only event that the Caudices would pull was the founding of a discardable, near-spawn underground base, which tied into a larger scheme the two had planned.

The Scheme

At this point in time, the Clipchip /World War was perhaps at its greatest point of tension. Anthand and egnaroky were unable to step into /world without being attacked and killed. Both were now resorting to exclusively using invis potions to trade, which was expensive for the fledging team. Thus they started planning a scheme to strike back at clipchip. They figured that since their ally Ostrich1414 was allied with clipchip, a portal to clip's base might be found through Ostrich1414's portal hub. At this point ostrich didn't really trust the team, so they began a plan to increase that trust. They were to construct a small dispensable base, far from their own, and begin to increase Ostrich's trust by inviting him to it. The base was constructed, but in clearing out an area, egnaroky died from mobs and lost his items. The development of the base continued, but stopped a week later after they both realized that this approach would never work. However, while the scheme was abandoned, talking and trading with Ostrich actually blossomed into a real friendship and alliance, which led to the pair joining Florestria, and later Yittrium.

Activity

Egnaroky and Anthand still regularly play on the server, with IRL friends Pixelclick and Farthelos joining the team in May 2019. As such the team isn't "dead", but it is almost never referred to in chat or IRL conversation between them.
