New Nos Astra was a city formed by DakkaDok in mid 2017, as a replacement for the original Nos Astra, destroyed approximately 1.5 years earlier in the First Great War with the Blue Orchid Cult. Unlike the original, New Nos Astra was an independent city.

It was linked by portal to Vallaryn and thus discovered when Mr. Hole Digger gave away the coordinates to that base.

The city was discovered by Mac9308 on the 20th of March 2018 and heavily damaged by a wither he created in it. The city was further destroyed through continuous lava casting, as well as the entry of another wither on October 21st, 2018, as pictured below:

In autumn of 2018, DakkaDok created his third and final futuristic city, Nos Aeterna, in a similar style.
