Passacaglia was a base founded by Tenced on May 15, 2019. Immediately after the dissolution of the Fellowship of the Kittens, the base served as a safe haven for many of its former members. The base was home to several buildings utilizing different architectural styles, including two large towers, a villager breeding area, and a gold farm. Nddragoon's unfinished map art, 'Bee Movie Script' can also be seen here.
History
Foundation
Following the discovery of Hammerhall by Kojed, Tenced began making plans to create another base. Coming across an isthmus, he began laying the foundations of the base. Soon, haileymc2000, a former member of the FOK was invited. As time progressed, the majority of the former FOK members would inhabit the base, further speeding up its development. Despite the growing size of the base and the cooperation between its members, the base would never fully reunite the former clan, only ever serving as a hub for the players to work on small projects or to grind gear. Eventually, many members would cease to visit the base altogether, and those who did remain would rarely log on.
Stagnation and Griefing
With the momentum of the past slowing, the base would soon fall into disrepair. By the middle of 2020, many of the players moved their valuables to bases they deemed more active. This resulted in the storage being left desolate, as well as the base's beacon being stolen. Creeper holes were not being patched, and any buildings damaged by lightning were left dilapidated. Foreseeing the future of the Passacaglia, there were some attempts to rejuvenate the base by adding paths, infrastructure, as well as lighting to prevent mobs from spawning. Their efforts were in vain, as the base continued to decay, only being used by the occasional passerby.
On December 22, 2020, Kojed griefed the base. Dissatisfied with his position at spawn, he used a portal near spawn to access the base. His attempts were mostly limited to small fires and breaking windows due to a lack of diamond tools, and because xexc was at the base, he had to accomplish most of it covertly. Upon his discovery, kojed leaked the coordinates of the base in the chat. Many players, even the members themselves, seemed indifferent to this, as most had moved onto other projects or left the server entirely.
