Bestia Papa (meaning 'Beast Pope', after the COF Pope Xexc) was a prominent Church of Francis base throughout 2021 and early 2022.
History
The base started as a trooper base for newer members of COF, notably some former Confederacy of Man members that defected to COF after COM's defeat during the Confederacy-Francis War with IAmSheriff also being recruited to the base.
With help from multiple Disciples coming to aid the base's start, the members of the base slowly started cultivating a humble town filled with farms and houses. By this point, MFSIMPSON and IAmSheriff were selected as Co-Mayors of town with Sheriff taking the reigns and organizing the base. During it's lifespan, Bestia Papa was one of if not the most active and community oriented settlement of COF's many cities, thanks to it's trustworthy members, openness and leadership.
Downfall and Send Off
The start of the end of YMP was becoming more realized, with it's most active member, 159, getting jailed for X-Ray. In a fit of rage, 159 posted a video leaking countless coords he X-Rayed, one of which included the coords to Bestia Papa. The people of Bestia Papa were sad by this, but not suprised. Thus they started to plan a goodbye party at the base, though nothing would take place for months.
Coronation
By early 2022, the send off party still hadn't happened. One of the original organisers & founders of the base and then Emperor of COF, Lord1 was crowned King of Simpvp by server owner Yukarion and wanted to have a formal coronation, picking Bestia Papa as the city to host the event.
On May 14th, 20 players from across SimPvP came to Bestia Papa to watch Lord1 be crowned as King. The event wasn't just to celebrate the coronation, but also to give the glorious city a good send off before it was abandoned. The party goers toured the city, raced horses and attended the brothel.
