Francillian Architecture

Despite popular belief, most Francis worshippers much prefer building to fighting and griefing.

This page will be exploring the architecture used by the all generations of Francillians (FOK - COF - Red Empire - HSOF).

More specifically, the Tenced-Lord base line.

FOK

Early Fellowship of the kittens architecture was absolutely fucking awful.

There is no excuse.

But as the 'kittens' grew in skill and number, their main base Syracusai would show early resemblance of styles used in future bases.

Large statues in Francillian bases is tradition and is still being done in 2021.

Also in respect to base layout, Francillian bases normally have a central point where roads/paths spread from.

COF

New Hammerhall

New Hammerhall (or NHH) would see the start of Francillian-Modern architecture.

Nh1.png

Tall blocky buildings and straight distinct named roads would make up the majority of NHH's architectural diversity. But this would also he the first base to host a Francillian Church, and is the starting ground for early Church of Francis Disciples as well as Lord's first try at making a sculpture which he would reccurently use in the future.

(Sidenote: The Francis Cathedral in NHH was griefed during the base's evacuation in 2019, but was repaired by HSOF in 2021)

Francistan

Francistan, the direct descendant of NHH, would carry on the theme experimented at NHH but this time with a more aesthetic biome & better infrastructure. This would be a great success until it's evacuation during The Holy War.

Finally roads were being built in Francillian city themed bases, although oversight from the builders caused early build pallets to be limited to stone and smooth stone, later in the base's life this would change when concrete sky scrapers were made by the Francillians, inspired from DakkaDok's (Guest Builder) Mega Tower he built on the outskirt of the city. This Nos Aeterna - Francistan (NA-FS) architecture mix is the style foundation of future descendant Francillian bases like Two Words & Three Words.

Oneword

Oneword would be the first Francillian base since Syracusai to host a medieval theme. The base theme was inspired by Syracusai's Japanese district, but other districts styles varied.

Oneword1.png

This was the extremely unfinished shanty town district lightly based of Tudor architecture (15-16th century England).

Whilst building at Oneword, Tenced started to develop his own abstract building style which was partly due to limited resources, so structures mainly consisted of prismarine, sea lanterns, stone, glass as well as diorite, which he would later heavily use in other medieval project, arranged in oftenmost strict patterns due to OCD. Two Words & Three Words would see some of these traits reflect in Tenced's sky scrapers, which in turn would see resemblance in Lord1's builds at these bases.

(Sidenote: First Francillian base to include stone paving in urban areas, would later be used in Two Words & Three Words to more extreme levels)

The Red Empire

Two Words

Two Words was a huge advancement in the NA-FS city style as builders would compete for tallest sky scraper, so creative designs were expected.

Tenced would develop his personal style first experimented at Oneword now at Two Words. This time he had access to more materials, so the good parts of his old builds would mix with the new modern city style and would create the sub-style nicknamed by Lord1: 'Dildo Architecture'. This type of architecture would take up after Oneword's patterns as they would heavily emphasize simetry, they would however differ greatly in the colour palette which included red, blue, yellow and more notably as every build featured it, black-grey and white concrete as markers for teh structures's shapes, these pivotal points of the style would remain in later projects such as two words and three words where the grey-black concrete would be replaced by cyan terracota for availability reasons. The modern sleepy-slut style was also created here with heavily textured floors made out of different stone variants and clear coloured buildings.

Two words would also be the first time Lord1 built his now traditional "hoods" in Kushdraw, these buildings heavily emphasized on "poor" or slightly dislikable materials, sucha as raw stone, polished diorite and polished granite. He would also start decorating the roofs of his builds as well as the streets with vents and the likes, this technique would be widely used in three words. As for the his modern buildings, they would be built in vastly different styles, most often featuring big amounts of white concrete for long stretches of wall.

Three Words

Three Words (Pre-Imperial War) was a pure mix of Lord's Advanced NA-FS style and Tenced's futuristic urban stlye (Closely related to Dildo Architecture, especially considering lack of interior). Tenced's builds would feature strict a strict colour palette of white concrete, light blue stained glass and cyan terracota with the occasional addition from building to building. On the other hand Lord1 would build in various styles all over the base with seemingly no corelation between them, they are all however improvements on the very buildstyles he used at past bases with a common denominator in his roof decoration on modern buildings previously mentioned. On top of that 3 words would also feature the first serious bit of city planning and landscaping creating various decorated beaches and custom cliffs.

Post War

After the BRP brought 3 Words back to life, it's architecture became a huge cooking pot of different styles due to the 20+ people that are now members. But damaged (now repaired) Pre-War builds still make up the majority of builds.
