The Commonwealth is a major clan formed on December 27th, 2018. It is a wealthy and powerful team with many expansive bases, such as Triterrus, Byzantium, and Sanch Vegas. All the members of The Commonwealth are friends in real life. The Commonwealth history is split up into five distinct time periods, with each period represented by a base.

The Outpost

Upon joining simpvp on December 27th, 2018, Hamieb hastily founded The Outpost and invited his brother, Das_Dankgineer, and two of his closest friends, TonTheKidRS and Vinmanh They gathered resources at The Outpost until they felt prepared to move on and create a more permanent base. The Outpost was a unique time in Commonwealth history. The team was poor but tight. They had diamonds out in the open in the chests, and the four of them worked together to quickly obtain essential resources such as enchanted diamond tools and large supplies of food. The Outpost itself was a skeleton farm with many chests around it and an expansive stripmine.

Triterrus

Early History

After obtaining the resources required to move out, the original four members made their first attempt at moving out to establish a long term city. Shortly after the first expedition, they realized they weren’t far enough from spawn due to the discovery of a crafting bench 5000 blocks away. Their second expedition led to a small lake with a Savannah, Jungle, and Forest biomes around it. They looked around to find a good area to build their first city. After some searching, they agreed to settle around the lake. This success marked the birth of Triterrus, which became the team’s first city and capital.

Structure

Triterrus was divided into 13 regions, one region for each member plus an industrial region, and the jungle. The jungle was supposed to be a group build area, however it never took off.

Expansion

Shortly after founding Triterrus, they invited two more of their friends, Duffilufagus and Passaconaway. Duffilufagus awed the team with his building skills, and frequently gave building advice to all members of the team, leading to an overall increase in building skills throughout the team. At this time the team had no official name, but was unofficially known as “The A Team”, however The A Team was simply known as “Triterrus” with Triterrus serving as both the team and the city. the team decided to make an official name, and they agreed upon “The Commonwealth”. They allied several teams and bases, including Struthio, who was their closest ally and sister city. They continued to invite their friends until they peaked at 11 members. During this time, The Cult of Sanchez was founded, and a shrine to Sanchez built by Duffilufagus could be seen in Mythruindale

Industry

Triterrus contained a wide variety of farms, which included a super smelter, a kelp farm, a melon farm, a pumpkin farm, a sugar farm, an iron farm, a gold farm, a fish farm, a villager breeder/trading hall, a nether wart farm, a beacon farm, an auto crop farm. These farms, in addition to extensive AFK time by many of the members (especially TonTheKidRS) quickly brought The Commonwealth extreme wealth, much of which would remain with The Commonwealth for years.

Decline and Abandonment

Triterrus was abandoned on May 21st, 2019 in order to find an area further from spawn. It was destroyed as a part of The Byzantium War in February 2020. Triterrus at its height had well over 60 buildings. Duffilufagus made a video featuring almost all of Triterrus https://youtu.be/tfxrKd6mUoM

Atlas

Atlas was designed very differently than its predecessor. It was based entirely off of group builds with a large statue in the center and a series of circular walls. The base felt forced, and was quickly demotivating. The outer wall has a radius of over 1000 blocks, making it the largest perfect circle on simpvp. The outer wall outline was mostly built by Hamieb, who now hates circles. It was built up by Das_Dankgineer. Within a few months the team quickly went inactive, partially due to many of its members being in college, and TonTheKidRS joined Yittrium.
