The Dominion-Francis Conflict was a guerrilla war fought between the Church of Francis, the Dominion, and their respective allies between September and November 2022. It ended on November 7th at the Ketamine Accords when both sides agreed to mutual peace.
Overview
The rivalry between the two clans dates back to early 2019 when both clan's predecessor groups (The Fellowship and The Fellowship of the Kittens respectively) engaged in the War of the Fellowships. Later that year the Dominion would be formed after The Fellowship's fall into inactivity and the Church of Francis would be formed from the remains of FOK. For over a year, every conflict COF participated in the Dominion would join and aid the opposing side (The Holy War, The Intervention War, The Republic-Francis Conflict) until The Imperial War, as usual the Dominion joined COF's enemy, the People's Coalition. however after internal disputes within the PC, TheOnlySlash was kicked from the coalition. After the war ended, Lord1 and TheOnlySlash had stopped hating each other and their clans wouldn't fight for almost 2 years after.
In the later months of 2022, TheOnlySlash had become active again. His boredom would lead to him once again hunting COF members and griefing any COF base he could get. COF wasn't interested in any conflict at the time and tried to appease Slash, to no avail. Slash would go on to reform The Dominion and recruit anyone willing to fight against the Church. To no one's surprise, the YMP pirates who managed to hide their X-Ray well enough and not get jailed joined Slash's cause, including bruno_vera and Sellout9. On the 21st of September, the Dominion declared war on the Church of Francis, however the Church decided not to redeclare or formally acknowledge the declaration and fight the Dominion anyway.
The first half of the war was characterized by medium scale skirmishes in /world, with the Dominion scoring more kills overall. Around this time the Dominion also had coords to intact COF bases and was planning for large scale griefs of them, Danimania who was secretly working as one of COF's spies during the war, informed COF of these attacks to which the bases were self griefed. As the weeks went by, more and more Dominion members started to slip back into inactivity, whilst COF numbers stayed strong. During the last weeks of the war, COF was winning almost all skirmishes.
By early November, fastvincent had released his video mentioning SimPvP which brought a handful of 2b2tards to the server, both COF and the Dominion saw this as a opportunity for a Third Siege which wouldn't be possible if they were still at war. TheOnlySlash (whilst horrendously high on ketamine) contacted Lord in order to make peace, to which Lord agreed. On the 7th of November Slash and Lord met in world to sign the Ketamine Peace Accords, ending the war.
