Kinabalu is a city founded on February 23rd, 2022. The city was formed by several active members of the base Pangaea, which had been active between November 2021 and February 2022, before promptly being abandoned. After abandoning Pangaea, the base's core members moved to found Kinabalu, a city located in the middle of a massive coastal jungle biome. Much like Pangaea, Kinabalu would become another affiliated base of The Order of Wilbur, with much of its membership being Wilburians, as well as a few allied outsiders. The city has a plethora of architectural styles, including modern skyscrapers, a fantasy/medieval village, rustic houses, etc. Kinabalu also boasts far better farms than Pangaea, with a much bigger emphasis on quality and sustainability.

History

Abandonment of Pangaea

Originally, Pangaea was meant to be a small starter base for a group of individuals from the server Uneasy Vanilla. But Pangaea grew far larger than anyone had expected. Seeing the effort put in a base as insecure as Pangaea prompted the members to seek a new location to base at. Over the course of 6 days ostrich1414, LidGuy, Laztec and TuataraBoots flew to a secure location that would be the start of Kinabalu. Kinabalu would take in the active members from Pangaea.

In The Jungle

Kinabalu was located on a large costal jungle biome. Due to Kina only being founded in February of 2022, SimPvP had not been updated to 1.18, therefore there were no sparse jungles. This meant that there were many trees that needed to be cut down and burnt.

After a decent amount of trees were cleared probablynotnick and LidGuy started laying down roads for a city area. cheesy_chips22 had started on a medieval town area nearby as well.

Some major farms were quickly set up within the first few weeks of founding the base. This included a 5 layer gold farm, a stacking raid farm, a villager breeder, a villager hall, an iron farm and a gunpowder/sugarcane farm. Majority of these farms were built by LidGuy and Ryoush.

Steady Growth

Over time Kina had grown very large. 2 new members had also joined the base since it had been founded, Nebuelaz and SSoup_SSoup. Some notable builds had been constructed during this time. Including N0Buddy's Portal Hub, TheMustacheKing's Jungle Temple, Nebuelaz's Castle Nebuelaz, cheesy_chips22's Town, LidGuy's Wizard Tower, craftgirlie's Pyramid and WatermelonFun11's Marker.
