About
Azpipia started as about 50 small pyramids that Pippenger created randomly in the desert. Azdin came across it years later and started expanding it until it covered nearly the whole desert. Pippinger wanted to create a wiki entry for it so they came up with the name Azpipia.
On October 28th, 2019, during The Holy Wilbur-Francis War, the Battle of Azpipia took place here. The battle would ultimately result in a draw, with neither The Order of Wilbur nor the Church of Francis securing a victory.
Pictured below is Azpipia in 2017, prior to Azdin's additions. At the time the base had no name and had been built anonymously in 5 minutes for no particular reason.
Pictured below is Azpipia the day before the October 6, 2020 griefing. As you can see, someone TNT bombed a portion of it already.
Grief
On October 6th, 2020, bruno_vera, Sice_01, ostrich1414, Blockplanet94, 2b2tard, Bruv420, Burger_Malone and seventwoworlds griefed Azpipia in retaliation against Azdin, after he had griefed numerous historic spawn bases. Almost the whole desert was blown to a crater, and multiple lavacasts were put over it.
Yukarion logged on and seemingly disapproved of the griefing of Azpipia and gave props to Azdin
Post-Grief
On February 12th, 2021, 4Pilot discovered that Azdin was removing a famous spawn base named Castle Snowfrog. Although this would not be the first thing Azdin has removed, it infuriated a good majority of the community. One of the players it infuriated was SkullerG. Out of frustration, SkullerG brought 2 shulkers of TnT to Azpipia and blew up what the grief on On October 6, 2020 did not do, depleting every sand pyramid beside one. What is left of Azpipia are some pyramids under lavacasts and a huge minefield of exploded TnT craters. Unless there is some sort of major restoration project, this griefing will forever ruin the landscape of Azpipia, ending its reign from 2014.
