The Bloc for Clans (Formerly 'Bloc for Smaller Clans') was a clan union founded by Burger_Malone, meant to be a general association of smaller-sized bases and clans which share similar interests. It aimed to settle arguments between member groups peacefully, while members will agree not to grief or raid each other.

Over it's lifespan, the BC was a mostly successful clan union. It had tight rules and regulations that grew every time it faced another controversy, but the seemingly endless conflicts, both internal and external, would slowly drive the Bloc against each other. With most members inactive, and the second most influential team (Caudices) being banished, the union dissolved until it's rehabilitation only weeks before it was once again at war with itself during The Imperial War.

History

Formation

Created as the 'Bloc for Smaller Clans' in September 2019 by player Out_Here_Sneezing (later Burger_Malone), the Church of Francis joined immediately and Anthand and egnaroky under Caudices would follow suit shortly after. The first period of the BSC wouldn't be all that interesting as the Church of Francis was fighting the brutal Holy War against the Order of Wilbur which caused Caudices to fight their fellow Bloc member out of allegiance to their Wilburian base mates at Yittrium.

When the Holy War ended however, the idea of the Bloc for Clans would start to be taken seriously by the members who agreed to join prior and a banner and name would be voted shortly after. However, only 2 weeks after the Church of Francis surrendered to the Wilburians, there was already talk of another war being planned by JavelinFury.

The Intervention War

Lord1 had been contacted by Fuhrer of MCMAFIA, JavelinFury whilst in game asking if the Church of Francis would support MCMAFIA in a scenario of a all out server war. Lord pretended he'd consider the offer, but instead secretly contacted other BC members and discussed a pre-emptive strike against the MCMAFIA.

This was agreed after a vote in the BC senate and war was declared. BC leaders would assume this war would be similar to the Holy War; annexations, large battles and diplomatic meetings. However it would devolve into terrorist acts, ambushes, guerrilla warfare and many, many small scaled skirmishes.

The Sigil Conflict

The Sigil Conflict was one of the biggest BC controversies in the union's history, when COF troops lead by Lord1 occupied the base Sigil after the Francis Chapel in the town was found vandalized. The conflict between COF troops and Sigil residents would get out of hand when Wilburian players turned up to counter the COF occupiers. The battle of sigil slowly came to a end, COF and OOW leaders declared a ceasefire as to prevent another War.

However the BC members in Sigil were outraged at Lord1 for his actions and brought him to trial on the BC discord (later coined the Discordberg Trials) and successfully expelled Lord from the clan union. In retaliation, Lord attacked some bases affiliated with BC members. Despite this, tensions would cool and Lord would be voted back in to the BC.

Beginning of the End

On the 24th of February, the Bloc voted to leave the Intervention War and declare it a stalemate as no progress was being made by either side. This was also important as the Church of Francis and Caudices were about to wage war on Byzantium. After the end of The Byzantium War and the Turtle Beach Conference, The Commonwealth joined the Bloc.

One might assume after months of non-stop war, the tired BC member factions would want to preserve a period of peace. Caudices had other plans and annexed both Wilburia and Takyon. They were shortly after expelled from the BC, but now it had only half of the power it did. The Church of Francis realised this and left too. The BC just lost 2 of it's most influential teams and was a shell of it's former self.

After a few weeks of inactivity, Lord1 was plotted to overthrow the BC and re-establish it with more power and a better organised military, hopefully bringing it out of inactivity. Cheesy_Chips22 helped Lord1 with this and after Lord got discord ownership on the BC discord, the coup succeeded and the BC was later re-established the 'Galactic Federation'. But this was futile, most members were inactive or disinterested, so instead of kicking a dead horse, the Church of Francis stole structure of the BC senate and as many members as possible and claimed to have absorbed the Galactic Federation into the Church.

Reformed Bloc for Clans

Months after it's dissolution, Anthand planned the Reformation of the Bloc for Clans. The RBC would try to be everything the BC dreamed to be and without all the controversies and conflicts. At first it was wildly successful, and members even got together to build the RBC Spawn Base. Ironically the RBC would be scrapped within a month after the Majority of it's members would be split in half with the start of The Imperial War and the cosy RBC spawn base would be targeted by PC forces on the 14th of December.

It was a over a year since Burger_Malone united the Bloc, it had almost dissolved or fallen into civil war multiple times but also showed the fun of having so many unique players working together. With Anthand witch hunted off the server because of war crimes committed during the Imperial War (Wolf Exploit), Lord1 focused on repairing the Church, LordPasta & Burger_Malone inactive, the chances of reunification for the Bloc were gone, but some could argue it may have inspired the creation of GSFW only 6 months later.
