The GS/YMP Conflict began in June 2021 with long reaching effects, serverwide. During the 4 month conflict, 14 bases would be griefed with 8 of them being active or in use at the time of the grief. There was multiple PvP battles, with many players dying and many being caught in the crossfire, which would all contribute to one of the most toxic periods in sim’s history.

As this was only a conflict and war was never declared, it is difficult to pin who exactly was involved and who was simply a bystander, this list is just a look into the main active players who shared the same goal and mindset during the time:

Pre Conflict Relations
During The Imperial War, YMP would originally be members of the Peoples Coalition, due to their very poor relations with the Church of Francis, however YMP would decide to help Francis as they were mostly concerned with Team $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, a group created by jake276493 whos only goal was to make as many DB's and as much gear as possible. This would eventually lead to AntHand and Sellout9 kicking all YMP members from the Peoples Coalition, which would once again lead to YMP's and Francis's relationship to sour, and it would remain this way up until the end of the GS YMP conflict.
After the end of The Imperial War, the wounds between GS, Wilbur, and Francis would begin to heal, while YMP would mostly focus on their base Skyreach, but eventually even YMP would begin creating alliances with GS and Wilbur, with members like bruno_vera becoming joint members between YMP and Wilbur.
After Ragdety, a YMP member, leaked Skyreach in mid May, the already stagnating YMP members would lose more motivation than ever, forcing them to move again, this time to Ravenglass, a small spawn base for the now dissatisfied YMP members to live in unintentionally for over a month. Eventually, the base of Fort Rios would be founded by jake276493, where YMP would finally begin regearing. It would be during this time YMP members including jake276493, e_lee, and MrNutInYourButt would begin becoming angry at GS Trading Co. for their continued prosperity and good reputation on the server, but they decided to stay private with this thought for the time, and decided to fully regear and prepare for a large scale conflict given the opportunity.
During this period, Wilbur and Francis would officially become allies, furthering the idea of a more peaceful and prosperous SimPvP may become a reality in the near future, and for the time all 3 groups were not aware of YMP's plans.
While all of this was occurring, players from jake276493's server, NOBSMC would join SimPvP for the first time. These players were 1590283112, and DKC. They would quickly grow to be hated by most players as they were extremely toxic and griefed many historic landmarks, before eventually joining the Empire of Francis. Once inside Francis, the two would become some of the most recognizable players of the time, as they were almost constantly on and working on various megaprojects, or pvping. YMP would hold an overall very negative opinion of the two, as did most other players on the server.
Lead up to Conflict and First Aggression
After 1590283112 and DKC would rank up in a very short period of time in Francis, many of its longer term members grew upset, and after 1590283112 began killing a shared Wibur alt, WilburThePig, he would be kicked from Francis, and DKC would follow. Immediately after this, both 1590283112, DKC, and Lord1 would try to gain relations with YMP, which in turn gave the group the idea to start preparing for a full on war.
On June 28, jake276493 would be invited to the griefing of Riverwood, a joint spawn base constructed by GS, Wilbur, and Francis. 1590283112, DKC, and talksalot011, White_Flame, and jake276493 would all attend the griefing, where jake276493 would officially invite all attending members to YMP, to which they all accepted, making the griefing of Riverwood the first aggression from YMP onto the rest of the server and tensions between YMP and GS would begin.
Immediately after the griefing of Riverwood, GS would voice their opinions on the matter, mostly concerned over the alliance that the two groups still had as YMP's new members held very negative opinions on GS. However the alliance stayed and YMP would begin accommodating the new members to the group by giving them gear for their base known as Cope Town
Cope Town gets griefed
For the next week, YMP would continue being generally toxic on the server. Jumping players in /world, trapping the End spawn, and threatening the servers players, which lead for YMP's public image to plummet. Eventually this would lead for GS to plan an attack on YMP. Terrortie, a member of Cope Town, on July 11 would sell an ocean explorer map to SkullerG that lead straight to their base, and the same night it would be heavily griefed and looted by GS, Francis, and Wilbur members. 1590283112 and DKC were outraged and convinced foul play was involved to locate the base, but admins would confirm it was found legitimately.

Shortly after the grief, a group chat would be created by SkullerG which included themselves, jake276493, Nebuelaz, Gsmack, and 4Pilot. In this group SkullerG would inform the two YMP members that their alliance would end if 1590283112 and DKC stayed in YMP. Intended to help heal the newly formed wounds between the two groups, this only further enraged YMP, and pushed all members to be in favor of starting a major war.
YMP Shenanigans is declared
The group chat created by SkullerG would remain stagnant for a few hours, while jake276493 and Nebuelaz were rapidly discussing how they should respond to the message. Eventually the two concluded the best way forward was to turn Nebuelaz into a spy, as someone who did not support on furthering the conflict to hopefully secure information and whereabouts of their soon to be enemies. Nebuelaz would be the first to respond to the ultimatum, claiming he didnt want neither 1590283112 or DKC in YMP in the first place, and to which jake276493 responded in defense of the two members. This would spiral into an argument that appeared to leave the group chat entirely. Eventually SkullerG would ask again to what their decision would be, to which jake276493 abruptly declined, officially ending the GS YMP alliance.
Once GS removed themselves from the group chat. jake276493 would create a discord server for the higher ups in YMP, where they could begin discussing war plans, officially named "YMP Shenanigans". The first to be added to this server were Nebuelaz, MrNutInYourButt, BossCoww, and e_lee.
